CUT
These are the four characteristics that determine the price of your diamond. The most important
thing about Cut is the proportions of the diamond. If it weighs 1 carat it should look like 1 carat just like
a fine tailor fashions clothes, a fine gem cutter cuts the ideal proportional diamond. |

COLOR
The unaided, untrained eye cannot detect color (silver, brown, yellow or grey) until J color. But
if you were to compare a D color to lets say an F color, you could definitely tell the difference. Most gems purchased by
the average consumer is between G-I color mainly because it is affordable.

CLARITY
Depending on how many, how large and where they are placed is what determines clarity grade a diamond receives.
For an example, a diamond with a line, bubble feather or carbon imperfection could receive a VVS or SI grade depending on
the amount and size of the imperfections. The unaided, untrained eye cannot usually detect an imperfection until SI2 clarity.

CARAT
There are 100 points to 1.00 carat, .50 points to a 1/2 carat. The larger piece of rough crystal is more
valuable than the smaller piece, even when given the same characteristics such as color and clarity.
